Book Review: Sentinel by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Sentinel (Covenant #5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout (5 Stars)

Blurb from Goodreads:

It's a beautiful day for a war.

As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all.

And with all the obstacles between Alex and her happily-ever-after with the swoonworthy Aiden St. Delphi, they must now trust a deadly foe as they travel deep into the Underworld to release one of the most dangerous gods of all time.

In the stunning, action-packed climax to the bestselling Covenant series, Alex must face a terrible choice: the destruction of everything and everyone she holds dear… or the end of herself.

Its hard for me to say much about this book other than the word; Perfect.

I know it sound cliche and a bit vague. But in a way, Sentinel is indeed perfect for those readers who've read the series since the beginning. I think its special because it gave its readers the one thing that could sate their craving for Alex and Aiden. A real ending.

Sentinel started off where the agonizing ending from Apollyon happened. So basically, I didn't really need to reread the book because I easily understood why everything happened. I was glad that Ms JLA didn't fuss about and the action and thrill of the book escalated right from the start.

I don't think this review would be appreciated if you haven't really read this series from the start. Because the reason why people will love Sentinel isn't because of how it will start or progress. Its more impressive because of how Ms. JLA finished the end of the Covenant Series. Unlike most ending books for series-- Which ends with a vague telling of what their future lives will be,but here I got to actually imagine how their lives would be after the end of the series.

The way it started was already intense, but as the story progressed, you can slowly see the end of the series. If you loved the characters, you will now forever remember them because of this great ending. I'd like to keep this review short, so simply put. Sentinel was the most perfect ending for an amazing series ever.
